Suhail Sameer (BharatPe’s chief Executive) resigned after a disagreement with Ashneer Grover. The company is now looking for successors.
BharatPe stated in a statement that Sameer would transition from chief executive officer into strategic advisor starting January 7, 2023.
It didn’t mention the reason for Sameer’s resignation.
It stated that Sameer’s new role will allow for a smooth transition to Nalin Negi, the current CFO. She has been appointed interim CEO to work with senior executives to improve execution across all phases of the company.
BharatPe announced that its Board of Directors retained a top executive search firm to help with succession planning as well as the crucial CEO search.
After Grover was fired over financial misappropriation allegations, Sameer had been in charge of the fintech company.
